Information We Process

PromptGod analyzes text that you paste into supported AI chat websites in order to detect and mask sensitive information such as API keys, passwords, access tokens, private keys, and other secrets.

All processing is performed locally within your browser. No data is sent to any external server.

Data Collection

PromptGod does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your data. The extension does not operate any servers and does not send pasted content or detected secrets to any third party.

Local Storage

PromptGod may store the following information locally using Chrome's storage API:

User-created custom detection rules
Vault history of sanitized secrets (stored only on your device)
Extension settings and preferences

This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Permissions

PromptGod requests only the permissions necessary to perform its functionality:

Storage — Save extension settings, custom rules, and the local Vault.
Active Tab — Operate on the currently active supported AI website.
Scripting — Sanitize pasted content and provide extension functionality.
Clipboard Read — Read clipboard contents only during user-initiated paste events.
Host Permissions — Run on supported AI chat websites only.

Third Parties

PromptGod does not use analytics, advertising, tracking technologies, or remote code. No user information is sold or shared with third parties.

Security

All secret detection and masking occur locally in the browser before the content reaches the AI website. Your secrets are never transmitted anywhere.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect improvements to the extension. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
